Som du skriver finns det många viktiga aspekter av barn och ungdomars idrottande. Och jag inser riskerna när man selekterar tidigt. Men som jag har skrivit i tidigare inlägg tror jag att man kan kombinera bredd och djup på ett bra sätt och därmed hålla antalet utövare uppe – samtidigt som man satsar hårdare på en elitgrupp.

Vilka faktorer som ska vara avgörande är nog inte jag rätt man att svara på. Gällande det bör man vända blickarna till framgångsrika akademier ute i Europa som jobbar med tidig selektering. Se och lära av deras erfarenheter helt enkelt.

Det finns oerhört stora risker att vi missar en mängd presumtiva talanger, mindre barn kommer i förlängningen att idrotta, kan leda till andra folkhälsoproblem...vad vet jag men det är ett högst troligt scenario iaf. Sedan vet jag inte om det är rätt att man ska premiera en tidig mognadsutveckling såsom längd,vikt etc för de är ju oftast dem egenskaperna som är den stora skillnaden mellan en bra och sämre spelare i tidig ålder.
